GAIA features two innovative growing systems: soil-based and hydroponic cultivation zones. These systems ensure optimized conditions for the growth of diverse plant species, with a focus on Houttuynia Cordata and moss. These plants have been carefully selected for their ability to thrive in the unique conditions of Mars and Earth, offering sustenance and a touch of natural beauty.

GAIA encompasses five purpose-built areas, each dedicated to specific programs, ensuring a seamless and efficient operation. The journey commences in the decontamination and preparation chamber, a soil based cultivation zone dedicated for growing food, a hydroponic cultivation zone for growing herbs, a processing and control center where cutting edge technologies monitor and maintain optimal environment conditions for plant growth, and a dry and cold storage and laboratory where research and exploration thrive.
