MUSE Design Awards Winner Project - Silver Winner
The Triumph APAC Illusion Collection Activation transforms a product launch into an immersive atelier where engineering becomes emotion. Created to introduce the BODY MAKE-UP ILLUSION collection across Asia Pacific, the pop-up translates Triumph’s promise—total support with the sensation of wearing nothing—into a spatial narrative that guests physically move through.
Conceived as a labyrinth derived from the blueprint of a Triumph bra, the Illusion Atelier invites visitors to step inside the invisible architecture of intimate wear. The journey begins in a chamber of reflection, where mirrored walls distort the body and question perception. As light reveals silhouettes behind the reflective surface, Triumph’s heritage collections emerge on mannequins, framing innovation as a dialogue between past and present. Visitors then encounter themselves rendered as luminous mesh projections, transforming the body into data and fabric into digital trace. A chronological time tunnel carries guests through Triumph’s milestones, positioning innovation as a continuous evolution.
At the core of the experience, the R&D studio translates engineering into scenography. Machinery, material components, and Triumph’s proprietary comfort wire are dissected and suspended within transparent volumes, allowing guests to witness the balance between structure and weightlessness. Floating layers of fabric and illuminated mesh visualize the hidden intelligence behind the illusion of effortlessness.
The spatial narrative culminates in a dome-shaped chamber—an abstracted form of the bra itself—where guests step beneath and within the garment’s anatomy. Morphing digital textures, luminous mesh structures, and tactile surfaces reveal the product’s hidden architecture, transforming technical innovation into a moment of immersion and rest.
The Tailor House reframes retail as intimacy. Fiber-optic textiles cascade from above, glowing softly around curated product displays, while a floating fabric installation dissolves material into light. Fitting rooms are woven into the circulation immediately after this chapter, offering a private moment to try the collection—turning engagement into embodiment at the exact point where the story becomes personal.
From the fitting rooms, guests arrive at the Body Make-Up Lounge—a sculptural bar where cocktails are crafted to echo the collection’s color palette and sensory language. Surrounded by product displays, visitors can explore and experience the pieces in a relaxed, social setting.
The journey concludes in the Packaging Room, the final threshold before departure. Illuminated boxes layered with mesh create an infinity effect, transforming take-away into a ceremonial finale. Guests depart with a bespoke gift package, completing a journey that fuses technology, craftsmanship, and emotion into a poetic expression of comfort, beauty, and illusion.
